Bridget’s story is one of loss, survival, and hope. Her original owner, who was experiencing homelessness, tragically passed away in an accident — leaving Bridget without a home or anyone to care for her. One of our teammates found her on the side of the road near the scene, severely depressed and struggling to survive. In her desperation, Bridget had even begun eating rocks just to fill her empty stomach.

The Wellery Farms team immediately stepped in to help. We brought Bridget to Mississippi State for treatment, where she received the medical care and attention she so desperately needed. Slowly, her spirit began to shine again.

Bridget is a gentle, loyal dog who craves connection and thrives when surrounded by love. She enjoys walks, companionship, and simply being near her people. While she briefly lived in a foster home, she returned to us when the family’s cat was too stressed by having a dog in the house.

Today, Bridget is healthy, healing, and ready for her forever home — a home where she can be cherished, safe, and never feel abandoned again.
